Mac: You might know Parallels best as a tool to run Windows on a Mac, but the company also have a menu bar app called Parallels Toolbox that crams a bunch of utilities, like hiding the desktop, muting a mic, and more, into a single app.

Parallels Toolbox is essentially a menu bar app filled a bunch of micro-apps. With it, you can:

  • Block you camera, take a photo, or start a recording a video
  • Archive or unarchive a file
  • Record your screen
  • Take screenshots
  • Set an alarm, date countdown, stopwatch, or timer
  • Convert a video
  • Set a do not disturb
  • Set your computer to not sleep
  • Download a video by just dropping in the URL
  • Eject all volumes
  • Hide all the files on the desktop
  • Lock your screen
  • Mute your mic
  • Record audio

Of course, you can do nearly all of this already in macOS, but it is handy to have all these utilities in a single menu bar app.
